Whilest hiking down a trail at Ano Nuevo State Park in Pescadero, CA, my wife and I paused for a sip of water. Looking around at the beautiful scenery, we eventually turned around to find a bobcat following not twenty yards behind us, on the trail. We slowly walked toward it and it didn't move. Finally, we got about ten yards away and started taking pictures. The cat was a bit larger than a normal-sized cat. We stayed for as long as we dared, emboldened by the idea that we were too big for it to attack. This thought, however, begged the question, where was its mother? We decided to leave before finding out first hand.
